Airlock

Airlocks are curious spaces in science fiction. They are generally spaces filled with anxiety. Getting to the airlock and engaging it are portrayed as desperate scenarios. In reality, they are very useful spaces. They are also places in which there is very little to do than wait for the compression or decompression process to be completed. I find both of these mental spaces appropriate for these performance pieces.

Both are built out of explorations in “No Input Mixing”. The only sound source is feedback and the manipulation of the frequencies within it. Enjoy your time in the ‘lock!
